Boomer Dean

His name is Detente's One Finger Salute and he will be six years old on July 4th 2008. Since he was born on the fourth of July his nickname is Boomer, which you may prefer for a publication, rather than his CFA registered name. Our other two kitties are Burbank and Count Dracula (because he likes to nibble your neck).

All three are Grand Champions, but Boomer was judged best cat in Hawaii (based upon winning at cat shows) in successive years, until we stopped showing him, which we were asked to do so others would have a chance at Hawaii's best cat. If you're a golfer it's like everybody competing for second place if Tiger Woods is in the hunt.

The totally scary thing about Boomer is that this picture was taken when he was quite young and hadn't even developed into the totally handsome cat he is today.

This breed is called American Shorthair and the variety is Silver Tabby.
