Welcome to the Neighborhoods of Oahu!  

Starting with Waikiki, we share brief descriptions and Quick Facts along with photos and in some cases, learn about the neighborhood from a resident or two.

Three miles north northwest of Downtown Honolulu is the hidden gem of Kalihi Valley. To the north of Waikiki lies Manoa, the place on Oahu that some say has the most rainbows and also the main campus of the University of Hawaii. Moving slightly further east and with Diamond Head views, you can experience St. Louis and Kaimuki, reminiscent of 1940-1950's Main Street, USA. We live in Lalea in Hawaii Kai, in east Oahu and we invite you to check it out. Here you'll find Hanauma Bay, just named the #1 beach in the US for 2004, (according to 'Dr. Beach').

North-east of Downtown Honolulu and overlooking Pearl Harbor lies Aiea home to the Pearl Country Club. Traveling further north toward the North Shore you'll find Mililani Town and Wahiawa.

For a real local flavor and some spectacular views, don't miss Waimanalo just northwest of Hawaii Kai. The 1996 #1 beach (again according to 'Dr. Beach') is in Lanikai, Kailua. Next door to Kailua is Kaneohe and a beautiful bay. We'll update this feature regularly so check back often to see what new neighborhoods we've added.
